Mentis AI Worker Privacy Policy

At Mentis AI, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users' personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and share data provided by individuals ("Workers") who use our platform to connect with potential employers and perform services. By using the Mentis AI platform and agreeing to our Terms of Service, you acknowledge and consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Usage and Sharing

The Worker acknowledges that their data, including interview recordings, transcriptions, resumes, and other information shared through the Mentis AI platform, may be sent to external services for evaluation purposes. This includes sharing data with third-party large language model providers to assess candidate interviews. Images from the Worker's interview may be used to generate high-quality, professional photos displayed to potential employers alongside their profile. This process may involve sending image data to third-party APIs. User data may be utilized to improve the quality of Mentis AI's models. For example, a selection of interviews may be used in a dataset to train models for talent evaluation. User data, including resumes, AI interviews, salary expectations, and other information shared through the platform, will be accessible to companies using Mentis AI. Occasionally, Mentis AI may also surface relevant information about the Worker from external websites where they maintain a profile.

By using the Mentis AI platform and agreeing to these Terms of Service, the Worker acknowledges that their data will be collected, used, and shared as described in the "Data Usage and Sharing" section above. Mentis AI reserves the right to use and share the Worker's data for the purposes outlined in this agreement.

If the Worker wishes to have their data deleted from Mentis AI’s systems, they may submit a request through the relevant support channels provided by Mentis AI. Mentis AI will comply with such requests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. However, the Worker understands that certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or business purposes, even after a deletion request has been processed.

How Mentis AI uses AI and Data

How is my data stored and used after I upload my resume or take an interview? The following information is intended to be a short summary of our data practices. Personal data Mentis AI collects

Mentis AI stores the following information about you after you upload your resume or take an interview: Resume / CV, if one is uploaded. Video and audio data of interviews taken, along with an AI-generated transcript of the audio file. Information from public profiles, such as LinkedIn and Github. Your Mentis AI account details, including email address, account credentials, profile pictures, location, and compensation expectations. Written performance feedback from companies you have worked with, if applicable. Criminal history, if you authorize a background check as part of a job offer. Job offer, payment, and tax information, if provided by you, so that we can send you the right tax forms and report earnings to the government.

Personal data that is shown on the Mentis AI platform

Once your information is stored, we allow companies to search for talent matching specific jobs with sentences like “Software Engineers with experience in Node.js and React” or “Lawyers with experience in patent law.” We automatically process the contents of your resume, transcript of your interview, and any public profiles (such as Github) to recommend your profile to companies. You can see your public Mentis AI profile by going to the “Profile” tab, then clicking “Share Profile” and going to the link. The information in your profile is what companies are allowed to see. However, the compensation expectations that you have set are not included when you are sharing your profile. “If you would not like your profile shared with other companies, you can email us under support@mentispro.com.”

How Mentis AI uses AI

Mentis AI uses AI in three primary ways: Understand and provide you feedback on your resume / CV. Conduct interviews with an AI interviewer that dynamically comes up with questions based on your resume and the job responsibilities, generates a transcript of your interview, and assesses your interview performance. Recommend your profile to companies based on your relevant experience, including ranking yourself and other candidates for companies based on the information from your resume, your interview, and any public profiles (such as Github). Your profile and information may also be reviewed by human contractors we engage to provide us feedback on the performance of our recommendation models. We use their feedback to improve our models and train them to make better recommendations to companies. We may also use data associated with your Mentis AI profile, interview, or resume to measure how the interviewer performed, troubleshoot application issues, and make platform improvements.

How to delete your data

“You can delete your Mentis AI account and all associated resume and interview data by sending a request via email to support@mentispro.com.” You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted for your records. Please note deleting your Mentis AI account does not delete data from the systems of companies who may have viewed or collected your data in connection with your Mentis AI profile. In addition, Mentis AI may retain your data as needed to comply with applicable law.

Practices Mentis AI does not engage in

Mentis AI does not: Share your practice interviews with companies. “Show your profile in Mentis AI search results if you requested this.” Sell your profile or interview data to other companies, or offer your profile or interviews to anyone outside of the Mentis AI platform. Sell or otherwise make the AI interviewer and candidate evaluation system available outside of the Mentis AI platform.

How Mentis AI makes money Mentis AI makes money by charging companies that use our platform to hire talent a margin on top of your pay rate once you accept a role. This fee compensates Mentis AI for doing the recruiting, sourcing, and placement involved in our clients’ projects. In other words, the only way Mentis AI makes money is by giving people jobs. If we don’t place people at companies, we don’t make money. We build our AI models with the goal of creating the best chance of matching people with work.
